Spandau Berlin has been actively recruiting this summer, focusing on one specific market. The most successful German club has turned to the Balkans to revitalize its squad as they aim to reclaim the title taken by WASPO Hannover this season.
Jasa Kadivec and Antonio Vukojevic (both Croatian), Zoran Bozovic and Nikola Kojic (both Serbian), and Matej Caraj (Slovakian, though not technically Balkan!) have all signed with the Berlin-based team, ready to make an impact in the 2023-24 season.
Caraj, 23, joins from Jadran Herceg Novi and is primarily a center-forward, and will play alongside national teammate Marek Tkac. Zoran Bozovic, 20, played at Radnicki as a center-back, while the 30-year-old Jasa Kadivec, signing from Primorje EB, has skills on the 2m line at both ends of the pool.
