Vasas, the runner-up in the 2025 Hungarian League, confirmed new signings for the next season.
Six new players joined Vasas, four of whom are coming from OSC Budapest.
Left-handed Tamas Gyafras, 30, who played for Vasas between 2014 and 2016, returns to the club after a few seasons spent at OSC. In addition to OSC, he has played for BVSC, Eger and Honved.
Another newcomer-returnee from OSC is Kristof Varnai. He played for Vasas' age-group categories and also for the first team between 2011 and 2016. After leaving Vasas, he spent years at BVSC, Szolnok and OSC, where he was the captain in the past season.
A new goalkeeper also comes from OSC Budapest. It’s Joao Pedro Coimbra Fernandes, the Brazilian, who has played in Europe for several years. He had a great 2024/25 season with OSC. Before coming to Budapest, he played for Barceloneta, Novi Beograd and Partizan. He is currently in Singapore at the World Championships with the national team of Brazil. Interestingly, two Vasas’ goalkeepers participate in the World Championships – Marton Mizsei plays for Hungary.

The youngest addition is 21-year-old Peter Szalai, who was the world champion with the Hungarian U20 national team and was involved in the preparations for the World Championships. He comes to the Komjadi pool from OSC. Earlier, he played for KSI.
Greek Angelos Foskolos arrives from Apollon Smyrnis, where he scored 58 gols in 35 games. He has already experienced playing in the Hungarian League, having worn Szeged’s cap in the 2019/20 season.
Tamas Csorba, who played for Vasas until 2017, returns to the club after being a member of PVSK Pecs, BVSC, and Szentes. He was one of the best Szentes’ goal-getters.
The departures were confirmed immediately after the end of the season. Sava Randjelovic and Nikola Dedovic moved to Radnicki, goalkeeper Marton Levai joined Ferencvaros, and Benedek Batizi signed for BVSC. David Mijic, Roland Gaszt and Gergely Klar also departed from Vasas.
A new member of the coaching staff is Robert Kovacs, who worked in Vasas for years and coached the Hungarian junior and youth national teams. Like a few players, he returned to Vasas from OSC, where he guided the first team in the past season. He will be Slobodan Nikic’s assistant, along with Branislav Mitrovic.
