The duel between Partizan and Sabac, two of three Serbian clubs in the LEN Euro Cup eighth-finals, was the derby of the round. It was an interesting game, even though Partizan was always ahead. An excellent opening of the game put the hosts on the right track. Partizan took a 4:0 lead. Still, Sabac didn’t surrender too early. The visitors cut the deficit to one goal (3:4). Partizan responded with two for a 6:3 lead. At halftime, two goals separated the rivals (6:4). Partizan regained a four goals lead in the third quarter (8:4). However, Sabac was able to come back once again, and came very close midway through the fourth quarter (7:8). Two minutes before the end, Giga netted for 9:7. After that, Sabac scored a consolation goal.
Radnicki kept 1st place with a victory over Valis. The Champions League club broke the visitors’ resistance only in the final minutes. Radnicki earned a 5:1 lead at the beginning, but the Valjevo-based team was coming back from time to time. Early in the third period, Valis cut the deficit to one (6:7). The hosts entered the final quarter with a five-goal advantage (12:7), but Valis didn’t say its last word yet. The visitors scored three goals in a row to reduce the gap to two (10:12). Still, Marko Radulovic decided everything with two goals to set the final score – 12:10.
Crvena Zvezda, without its first goalkeeper Misovic, showed no mercy to Nais. The third Serbia club in the LEN Euro Cup eighth finals collected the points with a 20:5 win.
Title-holder Novi Beograd played against its development team NBG Vukovi. Dusko Pijetlovic and captain Dusan Mandic missed the game, but Novi Beograd recorded an easy 14:5 victory.
