European champion Croatia defeated Montenegro by two goals (10:8) in a friendly match in Budva.
The two teams finished three-day joint preparations with this game.

Head coaches Vladimir Gojkovic and Ivica Tucak called up only the players from domestic clubs for these preparations. The activities of the national teams haven’t been planned for this weekend in FINA and LEN calendars. Therefore, the clubs weren’t obligated to let their players join the preparations. After all, some Croatian and Montenegrin aces have played or will play important games with their clubs this weekend.
Montenegro opened the match excellently. The hosts led 3:0 at the first break. At halftime, the Montenegrins were one step ahead (5:4), but they went to 7:4 in the third quarter. Croatia started coming back. Five minutes before the end, the home side had a slim 8:7 advantage, but the visitors netted the last three goals in the match for a 10:8 victory.
The match in Budva was the second friendly encounter between Croatia and Montenegro this winter. At the end of December, Croatia beat Montenegro 10:8 in Zagreb
