The dates for the 2025 World Championships in Singapore have been announced.
The event will run from July 11 to August 3, 2025. Spanning over more than three weeks, 76 medals will be distributed amongst swimming, water polo, diving, artistic swimming, open water and high diving. The event is expected to house more than 2,500 athletes from 210 nations
An exact schedule of events will be published at a later date.
Singapore was announced as the host in early 2023. The event has originally been scheduled for Kazan, Russia, before being stripped from that nation after its invasion of Ukraine.
It’ll be the third straight World Championships held in Asia, following the 2023 event in Fukuoka, Japan, and the 2024 Worlds in Doha, Qatar, under the leadership of the governing body’s first Asian president, Husain Al-Musallam.
Most of the 24 days of competition will be held in venues within the Singapore Sports Hub and Sentosa.
