In a thrilling first leg of the Italian woman league semifinals, Ekipe managed to secure a crucial break on the away against Plebiscito with a tight 8-10 victory in Padova. Meanwhile, in another exciting match, Roma got off to a great start in their series against Trieste with a convincing 12-7 win.

Ekipe took on Plebiscito 8-10. The match began with Plebiscito taking the lead, scoring the game’s first goal with Meggiato’s shot. However, Ekipe quickly recovered and went on to make a series of five consecutive goals, taking a commanding 4-goal lead just 9 minutes into the game. The teams continued to trade goals, with Ekipe maintaining their lead and ending the first half with a score of 3:7. In the third period, Plebiscito tried to reduce the deficit. However, Ekipe held on and secured their lead of four goals. In the last eight minutes of the match, the home team managed to score two goals in a row, reducing the gap to 7:9. But Ekipe responded with a crucial goal by Williams in the 31st minute, securing their victory with a score of 7:10. Plebiscito scored one more goal in the remaining time, bringing the final score to 8:10 in favor of Ekipe.

Roma secured a victory over Trieste in a match with a final score of 12-7. The match started slowly as both teams scored only two goals in the first quarter, resulting in a 1-1 score. However, Trieste managed to score a goal before the end of the halftime, ending the quarter with a score of 5-2. The third quarter saw Roma taking a four-goal lead with a score of 7-3 in the 19th minute. Both teams managed to score two goals each until the end of the quarter, with the score standing at 9-5. In the last quarter, Roma continued to dominate the game, growing their advantage to five goals and securing a final score of 12-7.
