European Aquatics has published key starting dates for European competitions in the 2024-25 season.
The agreement, made in Malta during a gathering of EA officials attending the Champions League Final 4, outlines the start dates for the men’s and women’s Champions League.
Nothing has been mentioned about the Euro Cup or the Challenger Cup.
Men’s Champions League
The qualification round will take place over the weekend of 13th-15th September, ahead of the first group stage matchday, which is set to begin on 8th and 9th October.
The second group stage, referred to as the quarter-final stage, commences on 4th February, while the main event, the Final Four, will take place from 30th May to 1st June, also in Malta.
13th-15th September – Qualification Round
8th-9th October – Group Stage begins
4th-5th February – Quarter-final stage
30th-1st June – Final 4 (Malta)
Women’s Champions League
The Women’s Champions League, as usual, begins later than the men’s competition. The qualifying round is set for 4th-6th October, with the group stage beginning later in the month on 28th October.
The two-legged quarter-finals are scheduled to begin on 22nd March. Teams will then have a month of rest before the Final Four, with the host yet to be determined, which takes place on 2nd-3rd May.
