The third round of the Hungarian League is almost over.
Three clubs that recently participated in the LEN Euro Cup qualifications played their third round matches on Wednesday and all secured away wins.
Vasas, the 2023 LEN Euro Cup winner, easily defeated Szeged 17:8, with ten players from the Budapest-based team scoring. Gergely Burian and Akos Konarik each scored three goals.
OSC Budapest and Szolnok, which failed to qualify for the LEN Euro Cup Group Stage, beat PVSK Pecs and Eger, respectively. OSC recorded a 20:7 victory, and Lars ten Broek of the Dutch national team scored four goals.
Eger kept up with Szolnok in the first half, but the visitors took control in the second half for a 11:8 victory.
The visitors collected the points in three matches that were played earlier.
The encounter between UVSE and Honved has been postponed.
