Spandau 04 and Waspo Hannover easily passed over their first hurdles in the semifinals of the playoffs of the German League.
Waspo Hannover had no mercy in the encounter between the clubs which are partners. Waspo trashed White Sharks Hannover 23:5 in the first match of the semifinal series. Spandau 04 beat OSC Potsdam 11:6.
The second leg is on Sunday, but there is no doubt that Spandau 04 and Waspo Hannover will advance to the final.

Waspo needed just three and a half minutes to earn a 4:0 lead and proved that there would be no excitement in the match in Hannover. Ivan Nagaev, the attacker of the Russian national team, was the best scorer, with six goals. Germany captain Julian Real found the net five times. Marko Macan, debuted for Waspo this evening. The center-back of the Croatian national team, who came from Jug Dubrovnik, scored two goals.
Spandau water polo players had a little bit harder task, but their victory wasn’t in danger. OSC Potsdam didn’t surrender easily. After the first quarter, the teams were tied (1:1). Spandau built a 6:3 advantage by the halftime. The home team opened the third quarter with a goal for 4:6. However, in the remaining time, the Berliners dictated the pace.
