The coronavirus pandemic caused chaos in the calendar of the Hungarian League. A lot of time will be needed to get things back in a routine. Several clubs that have no problems with members tested positive have played some of the rescheduled league matches this week.

Three days after Ferencvaros clinched the Hungarian Cup, the European champions taught a lesson to newcomer KSI. Ferencvaros, led by a 19-year-old Vendel Vigvari, opened the match with an 8:0 blast. They scored eight unanswered goals in the opening ten minutes and maintained the difference until the end.
Today, Eger and Tatabanya faced in the match of the 7th round, which was initially scheduled for October 3. Eger was merciless. The hosts played in defense very well. They conceded just two goals in the first three quarters. Although they earned a big lead, Eger water polo players didn’t slow after the last break and stretched the margin of their win to 10.
Szolnok defeated Debrecen 15:7 in the postponed match of the 4th round. But, the former European champion didn’t collect points with ease. Debrecen had a slim lead in the first half of the match (2:1, 3:2). Szolnok turned around the deficit to a 4:3 advantage. Debrecen equalized (4:4) in the 15th minute. A second before the end of the second quarter, Filip Filipovic put Szolnok in front (5:4). The visitors opened the second half with four goals in a row for a safe 9:4 advantage.
