European champion Ferencvaros defeated Szolnok in the big derby, which closed the 29th round of the Hungarian League.
Ferencvaros recorded a convincing 11:7 victory. It is Szolnok’s first defeat in the league this season. Moreover, until today, Szolnok didn’t suffer a loss in the regular time in all competitions this season. Ferencvaros was better than the league leader in the final of the Hungarian Cup, but that match was decided in the penalty shootout.
After this win, Ferencvaros is just two points behind Szolnok. However, Szolnok will probably keep 1st place in the standings before the playoffs, because it will face the last-placed KSI on Day 30, while Ferencvaros will play a new derby. They will play against OSC.
