Serbiaβs head coach Uros Stevanovic picked the players who will represent Serbia in Group B of the World Cup Division 1 in Podgorica.
There are 17 players on the roster. Among them are five reigning Olympic champions: Dusan Mandic, Branislav Mitrovic, Sava Randjelovic, Djordje Lazic and Strahinja Rasovic, then the MVP of the World U20 Championships in Prague in 2021 Marko Radulovic, a returnee to the national team Nemanja Ubovic, etc.
Several guys, who didnβt compete for Serbia at major competitions, like Marko Dimitrijevic, Vladimir Misovic (the best goalkeeper of the 2021 World U20 Championships), Vuk Milojevic will travel to Podgorica,too.
It’s well known that captain Nikola Jaksic wasn’t allowed to come to the national team’s preparations.
Most of the players come from Serbian clubs. Only four Mitrovic, Randjelovic, Ubovic, and Lazic play abroad.
The national team will finish the preparations in Kragujevac this evening. Tomorrow, it will go to Montenegro. Serbia’s rivals are Montenegro, Spain, Greece, Australia and Georgia.
The Serbs and the Georgians have had joint training in Kragujevac in the last two days.
In the first round, on March 8, Serbia will face Australia.

Besides the picked players, goalkeepers Lazar Dobozanov (Radnicki), and Petar Gavrilovic (Sabac), field playersΒ Petar Jaksic (Partizan) and Nikola Kojic (free agent) took part in the preparations in Kragujevac.
