Title-holder Szolnok didn’t play today. An encounter between Szolnok and Szeged has been postponed to October 5.

Ferencvaros got off to a flying start in the match against PVSK. The former European champion rushed to a 6:0 lead. Then, the hosts, finally, got on the scoreboard, but Ferencvaros responded with five goals in a row for an unattainable 11:1 advantage. At the end of the game, eleven goals separated the rivals (16:5). Daniil Merkulov and Balazs Nyiri were the best scorers with four goals each.
OSC didn’t play perfectly in defense. Still, the runner-up in the 2021 Hungarian League and the LEN Euro Cup, recorded a ten-goal victory over Szentes (23:13). Szentes kept up with the favorites until 3:3. But, OSC jumped to a 7:3 lead by the end of the first quarter. The Budapest-based team controlled the match after that. Szentes was coming back from time to time, but OSC’s win wasn’t in danger. As usual, Krisztian Manhercz led OSC’s attack, with six goals. A young Vince Vigvari debuted for OSC scoring four goals.
Vasas cruised to an away win over Eger. The visitors opened the match with an early 2:0 lead. By the middle of the second period, they stretched the margin to five – 7:2 and dominated until the end. Defender Sava Randjelovic was the best scorer with four goals, Drasko Brguljan added three.
BVSC ran over Miskolc in the first half. After two quarters, BVSC had a big 9:1 advantage. BVSC added two goals early in the third quarter and went to 11:1 and closed the contest.
Kaposvar recorded the first win in the season beating DVSE Debrecen. Kaposvar led for most of the time. Debrecen managed to equalize three times (2:2, 7:7, 9:9). However, after DVSE’s 9th goal, the hosts scored two unanswered goals in the last four minutes for an 11:9 victory.
