After the preparations with Hungary in Budapest and Serbia in Belgrade, France’s head coach, Florian Bruzzo, picked the players who will participate in the World Championships in Doha.
He made two changes compared to the roster at the European Championships in Croatia, where France won 9th place.
Experienced 37-year-old ace Mehdi Marzouki and goalkeeper Arshak Hovanyshian won’t play in Qatar.
Andrea De Nardi (Marseille) and Noisy-le-Sec’s goalie Clement Dubois replace Marzouki and Hovanyshian. The two were on a 22-player list at the start of the winter preparations but, didn’t make the cut before the Europeans in Croatia. Dubois and De Nardi, who played at the 2023 World Championships and 2022 European Championships (France finished in 6th place in both competitions), have now returned among the best 15.
