Visiting teams won five of six matches in the 4th round of the Spanish Championship.
The big match of the day was an encounter between the 2nd-placed and the 3rd-placed team in the 2021 Spanish League. Terrassa hosted Barcelona, the runner-up in the previous season. After a quite balanced start, the game turned into a one-sided contest – Barcelona recorded a 6-goal win.

Barcelona recovered from two losses to Brescia in the Champions League Qualifications and beat Terrassa. Still, Barcelona needed some time to find its rhythm and secure the win. Until the middle of the second quarter, Terrassa dictated the pace and built a 3-goal lead (4:1 and 5:2). Then, Barcelona took control, and led by experienced Adria Delgado and Blai Mallarach, produced a 6:0 run to gain an 8:5 advantage (20th minute). The visitors doubled the distance in the last quarter and a half.
Barceloneta’s last test before the start of the Champions League was a game against Mediterrani. The reigning champion ran over the rival in the first half (10:1), and even built an 11-goal lead in the middle of the 3rd quarter (12:1). But, the visitors didn’t slow down after they reached a double-digit margin. Alberto Granados, Miguel De Toro, Felipe Perrone, and company increased their lead to 14 (17:3).
Sabadell visited the Canary Islands and beat Tenerife easily. The visitors held Tenerife scoreless in the first two periods, while they opened the third quarter with an action goal for a 4:0 lead. After that, Tenerife wasn’t able to catch up with Sabadell.
Former European champion Catalunya defeated newcomer Rubi. The game was an even contest until 3:3. Midway through the second period, Catalunya took control. The visitors jumped to an 8:3 lead, and Rubi was out of the race for the points.
Sant Andreu was the only team that recorded a win in the 4th round. Sant Andreu led throughout the game against Real. The visitors from Madrid managed to equalize twice (3:3 and 4:4). But, Sand Andreu dominated the second half and recorded a 12:6 victory.
