Het Ravijn did good business on Saturday. At home, the strong AZC was defeated by 17-15. Het Ravijn quickly led 3-0. In the second period, AZC took matters into their own hands, but the home team did not lose their way. Emiel Wouters took his team by the hand at the end of the third period. He scored four times in a row to make it 14-11. AZC came close a few times, but thanks to two goals by Yoran Loos and one by Thijmen Karel, Het Ravijn took the victory.
Together with ZV De Zaan, Het Ravijn is the only team that is still unbeaten in the Eredivisie. The team from Zaandam had no trouble at all with SVH: 24-4. UZSC also recorded a big win. In Utrecht, the team of former international Mike van den Brink defeated fellow local ZPC Amersfoort by 21-6. Especially in the last period, the visitors from Amersfoort had nothing more to say.
De Ham and ZVL-1886 recorded their first win of this season. De Ham won 7-10 against PSV in Eindhoven. ZVL-1886 took his first points against Waterpolo Den Haag. There the goals were scarce, it only became 4-5.

Women
The exact power differences in the women league are not entirely clear yet. Many teams are missing players who are preparing for the World Cup U20 with the Dutch Juniors. It resulted in two big wins and two outright thrillers on Saturday.
National champion Polar Bears lost to UZSC 13-17. In the first half, in particular, the home side was left behind. The Utrecht team of Joachim de Ruijsscher then ran out to 3-11. Polar Bears came closer in the remaining periods, but not close enough to make it difficult for UZSC.
ZV De Zaan made short work of GZC Donk. In Zaandam it became 22-12 for the home team. This was partly because GZC Donk missed its regular goalkeeper Sanne Keijzer and had to put player Anouk Ballering on goal.
Het Ravijn and De Ham hardly differed from each other. The difference has never been bigger than one goal. The decision came in the final period when Het Ravijn turned a 9-10 deficit into the eventual 11-10 victory. Lieke Schokker put the final score on the scoreboard with a utilized penalty.
It was also close between PSV and ZVL-1886. Both teams had no points until this game. ZVL-1886 led most of the game and eventually took the win: 14-15. Although Annelot van Rooijen belonged to the losing team, she was the star of the game. She scored ten times.Â
