Mladost bye
In the opening minutes of the encounter between Honved and PAOK, it seemed that the Hungarians would cruise to a victory. Honved rushed to a 6:1 lead (7th minute). But, the Budapest-based side didn’t keep pace from the first period. In the middle of the second quarter, the Hungarians still had a solid advantage (8:4). But they couldn’t find the net between the 13th and the 15th minute. In contrast, PAOK netted three goals and cut the deficit (7:8). Fejos ended Honved’s scoreless phase, scoring from a counter-attack (9:7). However, only one goal separated the rivals at the last break.
Early in the fourth quarter, Bendeguz Ekler converted a man-up for 10:8. Charalampopoulos answered in the next possession, also, with an extra player (9:10). Both teams missed a lot of chances in the last six minutes. PAOK had the last attack in the match and an opportunity to level the score, but Honved’s goalkeeper Decker saved a shot.
Primorac dictated the pace for three quarters, but it lost to Mediterrani. The Montenegrins had a 5:3 advantage early in the second period. Then, the Spaniards produced a 3:0 series and took the lead for the first time (6:5). Primorac leveled at 6:6 before the middle break and earned a 3-goal advantage (9:6 and 10:7) in the third quarter. However, the Kotor-based side didn’t continue in the same rhythm. The Spaniards leveled at 10:10 and again at 11:11 in the middle of the fourth period. Garcia converted a penalty in the 31st minute and gave Mediterrani the second advantage in the match (12:11). Primorac had a great chance to save a point, but Milic hit the post from a penalty shootout with 26 seconds left.
