Last weekend was a decisive one for the Hungarian BENU Cup. The teams that made it to the next round are OSC, BVSC, Szolnok, Honvéd, Eger, Debrecen, FTC and Miskolc.
There were no surprises in Group A for the matches played in Pécs. The host was doing all they can, but Gergely Lukács’s players didn’t succeed. On the other side, OSC flew through the qualifications confidently with three wins and quarterfinals in their pocket. Just like BVSC and their score of 11-5 against UVSE.
Szolnok hosted the Group B matches. Zsivko Gocics’s team won all day, so the host closed the two-day qualifier flawlessly, while the Honvéd was second in the top eight. Szolnoki beat the Kaposvári with 14-8.
In Group C, Eger dominated flawlessly with 12 points, wherein Group D FTC finished with 9 points.
