The top four ranked teams Pro Recco, Brescia, Sport Management, collected points in the 11th round of the Italian League, played today. This was the last round in 2019. The championship will be continued in February, after the European Championships in Budapest.

Pro Recco and Brescia defeated their respective rivals with ease. Pro Recco demolished Telimar 24:6, while Brescia defeated Roma – 15:9.
Third-placed Ortigia collected valuable points in Rome. The Sicilians defeated Lazio. Before the last quarter, the rivals were tied – 9:9. Ortigia opened the fourth period with two quick goals for 11:9 lead and didn’t let the hosts equalize. Lazio cut the deficit twice (10:11 and 11:12), but Ortigia’s Rossi decided everything, by a goal, scored 31 seconds before the end for the final score – 13:11. Ortigia kept up with Brescia. Both teams will enter the new year with 27 points each.
Sport Management had no big troubles in beating Posillipo in Naples – 13:7. The hosts opened the match with a 2:0 lead, but after that, the visiting ream controlled the match.
The other Naples-based club Canottieri, finally, recorded the first win in the season. Canottieri hosted Florentia. The home team had a 7:3 lead after the 1st quarter, while they went 9:3 up early in the third period. After that, Florentia couldn’t come back.
Iren Quinto and Savona fought a hard battle in Genova. Iren, the home team, had an 8:6 advantage after the third period, but Savona managed to level the score early in the fourth period (8:8). Still, Savona returns home empty-handed, as Tabbiani scored a winning goal, by converting a man-up just 13 seconds from the end -9:8
