Three teams extended their winning streaks in the Italian Championships. After four round, Pro Recco, Ortigia and Brescia have collected 12 points each. Pro Recco and Brescia recorded big wins on Day 4, while Ortigia managed to overcome big troubles and to defeat Savona.

Pro Recco showed no mercy to Canottieri – 26:5. Pro Recco had earned a 13:0 lead before Canottieri scored its first goal in the last minute of the second quarter. The hero of the match was Pietro Figlioli, a captain of the Italian national team, who scored 10 goals!
Ortigia edged out Savona thanks to a great comeback in the last six minutes. Savona entered the last period with a 4:3 lead, while Ortigia left without Giacoppo, who was sent off because of brutality foul in the finish of the third. Ortigia continued struggling with troubles early in the fourth. Just 20 seconds in the period passed, before Savona’s Campopiano converted a penalty for 5:3. After this penalty, an experienced Ortigia’s goalkeeper Stefano Tempesti received a red card due to a protest. He protested because of a slow execution of the penalty by Campopiano. It seemed that the contest was over, but Ortigia was able for a big comeback. Midway through the 4th quarter, the Sicilians equalised – 5:5. Stefan Vidovic scored from an extra player attack for Ortigia’s victory – 6:5 with 69 seconds to go.
Brescia taught a lesson to Lazio in Rome -17:6. Sport Management easily beat Florentia 12:4.
Only one match was ended with no winner. Posillipo and Salerno shared the points in Naples. At last break, the score was 8:8. Early in the fourth, Posillipo went ahead (9:8). However, Salerno responded with three goals for an 11:9 advantage in the middle of the quarter. In the remaining time, Massimo di Martire hit the back of the net twice (from a penalty and from an extra player attack) and the match was ended in a tie – 11:11.
