Water polo players of Jadran Carine defended their title of Montenegro’s champions for the season 2017/2018. In front of their supporters at the poll of Institute Igalo, they won against Budva 11:4 (3:1, 2:1, 3:2, 3:0). They finished the final series with three dominant performances against Budva. The Montenegrin Champions trophy was handed over by the president of VPSCG Dejan Bajić.
The most successful player of the team was Merkulov with four goals. Radović and Filip Gardašević got two goals, and Spaić Petković and Drašković got one. The double shooter for Budva was Maksimović, while Popović and Vuksanović managed to get one goal.
Jadran played the first match at home, winning with the score of 11:7, while the other match, played in Budva, ended with 14:7 also for Jadran. This is the fifth consecutive champion title for Jadran (out of eight in total) in Montenegro. Jadran has also won the Montenegrin Cup this season.
