Jadran Split won the 2025 Croatian Super Cup. The reigning national champion defeated Jug, the 2025 Croatian Cup winner, 11:8 in the match played in Zadar.
The game in Zadar was the 4th edition of the Croatian Super Cup and the fourth encounter between Jadran and Jug in the match for the prestigious trophy. Jug clinched the Super Cup in 2022 and 2024, and Jadran triumphed in 2023 and 2025.
Jug scored the first goal in the game held in front of the packed stands at the pool in Zadar. However, it was the only lead the Dubrovnik-based team would have throughout the match. Jadran responded with two goals, and Jug managed to equalize twice at 2:2 and 3:3. After Jug’s equalizer at 3:3, Jadran scored two quick goals to take a 5:3 lead.
Jug made several attempts to close the gap, narrowing it to one goal at 4:5, 5:6, and 6:7. Late in the third period and early in the fourth quarter, Jadran went on a 3:0 run within just 1 minute and 55 seconds, establishing a comfortable 10:6 lead. Jug never came close to matching Jadran again.
Antonio Duzevic, Jadran’s center-forward, was named the MVP of the match.
