The Final Four of the LEN Euro League will take place in Budapest, while the LEN Trophy Final Four will be held in Barcelona, LEN announced today.
For the first time in history, two Hungarian clubs reached the Euro League Final Four – UVSE and Dunaujvaros. Besides the Hungarian duo, Dynamo Uralochka (Russia) and Olympiacos (Greece) will battle for the title. The event will be held in the Tuske Swimming Pool, which was opened a few years ago, on April 30 and May 1.
The F4 of the best female competition for clubs will be one of many water polo events that take place in Budapest during the coronavirus pandemic. The matches of the Champions League Group B have been played in Budapest. The final tournament of the European qualifications for the women’s World League will also be held in Budapest from March 24 to 27 (not in Debrecen, as it was previously announced). Besides, the Hungarian Water Polo Federation organized the European qualifications for the men’s World League Super Final. That tournament was held in Debrecen.
The technical organizer of the LEN Trophy F4 (April 17 – 18) will be the Catalan Swimming Federation in the pool Sant Jordi in Barcelona. Two Spanish clubs will play at the tournament – Astralpool Sabadell and CN Mataro, Russian Kinef Kirishi, and SIS Roma (Italy).
The draws for both tournaments will be made next week.
