This September, water polo club Lošinj will host twenty U-17 water polo teams from Italy, Hungary, Ukraine, Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnia and Hercegovina in a beautiful sea pool in Čikat bay and Aquapark Čikat.
Boys and girls tournaments
Men’s tournament Dobri dupin will be held for 03.-05.09.2021. where 12 teams will battle for the title of its 17th edition. VK Borac (Banja Luka), VK Invictum (Sarajevo), VK Gorica (Slovenia), VK Ljubljana, YBL (Budapest), VK Galeb, VK Siscia, VK Vukovar, VK Marsonia, VK Osijek and VK Pula (Croatia)
A week later, for the first time VK Mali Lošinj is also organizing a U-17 girl’s tournament – Pleiades. By the time we published this article 6 team confirmed their participation – VK Galeb, VK POŠK 1937, Plebiscito Padova (Italy), Olympia Košice (Slovakia), DFVE (Hungary), and Waterpolo Kyiv (Ukraine). There is still one spot left, so you need to be quick if you want your team to participate in this strong tournament.
Tournament is organized for athletes born in 2004. and younger. There is no entry fee. Clubs only need to pay for their accommodation and transport. The registration deadline is 1st August 2020. Feel free to contact vklosinj@gmail.com for more details.

Your chance help water polo
VK Lošinj is one of the clubs that is putting a great effort to promote water polo during the summer. The club has proper conditions to train just during the summer, while they are stuck in a small hotel (18m x 5m) pool during the winter. Despite that they produced national team players (men and women) in the younger category.
Their summer field (pontoon) was badly damaged in the heavy storm last year and they organized a fundraising campaign to fix their only summer asset. If you want to help in the efforts here is a link where you can place your donation. Even a small amount will take them closer to their goal!
