Mediterrani triumphed over Terrassa, 16:14, in an exciting derby in the third round of the Spanish League.
Terrassa started strong, taking an early 5:2 lead and finishing the first quarter ahead 6:3. However, Mediterrani tightened its defense, allowing the home team to launch a 5:0 run and take an 8:6 lead early in the third period. Terrassa quickly equalized at 8:8 and later again at 9:9. At this point, Mediterrani responded with a decisive 4:0 run, earning a 13:9 advantage. While the visitors managed to halve the deficit in the final quarter, they were unable to catch up. The man of the match was Edgar Estevez, who scored an impressive eight goals for Mediterrani. For Terrassa, Albert Sabadell was the top scorer, netting five goals.
In another thrilling match, Mataro defeated Caballa with a last-gasp goal, just seven seconds before the end, winning 13:12.
The Champions League teams delivered strong performances. Bernat Sanahuja scored five goals, leading Barceloneta to a 23:8 victory over Encinas de Boadilla, a newcomer to the league. Sabadell beat Rubi 19:11 with four goals from Federico Panerai.
Barcelona kept its perfect record by defeating Catalunya 20:9. Pol Prat scored four goals.
