Mediterrani defeated Catalunya 10:6 in the big match of Day 2 of the Spanish League. Mediterrani was three goals behind the rival, but managed to come back and record the first win in the season.

In the only game of Group B, Barceloneta trashed Tenerife 16:6.

Mediterrani broke Catalunya in the third quarter. The visiting side took a flying start and earned a 3:0 lead after six minutes of play. The hosts regrouped themselves during the first break and started climbing back. Mediterrani equalized early in the third period (3:3). Shortly after, Catalunya regained a lead (4:3). Then Mediterrani produced a great comeback. The hosts scored five goals in a row within five minutes (precisely 4 minutes and 23 seconds) and turned around a slim deficit to an 8:4 lead. They maintained the 4-goal advantage until the end. Donat Gallev was the best scorer with three goals.
After a slow start, Terrassa cruised to a win over Real Canoe. Victor Gutierrez led the winning team, with five goals.

Barceloneta quickly killed all the uncertainty in the match against Tenerife. After the first eight minutes, the title-holder was already 7:1 up. Early in the fourth quarter, Barceloneta even had a 13-goal lead (15:2) and let Tenerife reduce the gap in the last few minutes. Italy’s Michael Bodegas and an 18-year-old Unai Biel Lara were the top scorers in the winning team (3 goals each).
One of the best Spanish players of the 21st century Alberto Espanol (35) debuted as a player and a head coach of Tenerife and scored three goals. Espanol played for Barceloneta for more than ten years and won the 2014 Champions League with this club.
