Round 11 brought some clear victories, along with a streak of tight matches. In Group A, the middle ranks are crowded, while Group B has a decent gap between the points.
Group A
Just like the first time, Racionet and PVSK fought an extremely hard match. After a streak of uncertain scores and lead-changes, András Merész broke the defenses, though the opponent answered quickly. But they were back in the second quarter, taking the lead with four goals. The third quarter was played as an equalizer, and in the last, PVSK got the advantage, but it wasn’t enough to stop the winner.
The defending champion, FTC, warmed up after the match with Brescia and played hard against Szentesi. Nikola Jaksic scored six times out of total 16 FTC got. But perhaps, more importantly, his teammate Slobodan Nikic scored two after a long break.
BVSC dominated over KSI with 12:5, while Eger easily won the match against AVUS (14:8).
Group B
Szolnoki and Tatabanya opened the 11th round. After the clear victory over Mladost in the Champions League, Szolnoki got another one in their own national league. The moment they took the lead in the first quarter, they clung to it with efficiency, keeping the opponents at bay. It was a clear win with 9:4 on the score.
OSC and Debreceni also got three points at home – UVSE’s crew has been beaten down by nine goals, and it went a little better for Kapsovari with 13:11. Though it wasn’t enough to even get a point.
László Földi’s team almost surprised everyone in Miskolci’s pool. With Sélley Rauscher’s actions, the guests took the lead, but soon the opponent caught up, getting the audience on their feet. The score was 8:7 by the final quarter. Just when everyone thought the guests are done for, a couple of actions emerged, and the ball was netted twice on the host’s side, resulting in 11:10 for Miskolci.
