Montenegro defeated France 12:8 in a friendly game in Herceg Novi this evening. This was the first of three shape tests for Montenegro this week. In the following days, the Montenegrin will host Croatia in Herceg Novi and play another match against France.
All three teams are preparing for the World Championships in Fukuoka in the second half of July.

Montenegro, led by Vasilije Radovic, opened the match excellently. The first quarter set the tone of the game. France couldn’t come back after a 1:4 first period. The visitors reduced the gap by the end of the first half, but Montenegro dominated in the third period and secured a six-goal advantage before the final eight minutes.
Following their matches with Croatia and France, the Montenegrins will travel to Kashiwazaki in Japan, where they will have joint training with Serbia in the final phase of the preparations for the World Championships.
