This year, under new head coach Dejan Savic, the Montenegro national team has undergone a rejuvenation. Some of the Olympians did not participate in the World Cup, where Montenegro finished 5th as the host of the final tournament.
Today, Savic announced the roster for the World Championships. Four players who did not compete in the World Cup Finals will be traveling to Singapore.
Dmitrii Kholod is an absolute debutant on the Montenegrin national team at a big tournament, having recently been approved to play for the country where he has lived since 2023. He has already played at the World Championships representing Russia, while he played his first official games for Montenegro at the BENU Cup in Budapest last week.
Three players who missed the World Cup Final but have previously played for Montenegro are returning to the team: Jovan Vujovic, Vasilije Radovic, and Savo Cetkovic.
The four players who did not make the roster but had participated in the World Cup F8 are experienced Marseille player Vladan Spaic, as well as Nikola Moskov, Danilo Radovic, and Matija Sladovic.

Montenegro will have demanding opponents in the group stage in Singapore: Croatia, Greece and China.
