Neukolln celebrates valuable win after stunning comeback

Spandau 04 continued its winning series in the German League, with a convicnig victory over Esslingen (19:4). Still, the winner of the week is the other team from the capital city – Neukolln Berlin.

Neukolln beat OSC Potsdam 9:6 after a big come back.

Spandau was too strong for the bottom-placed Esslingen, with six goals from Dmitri Kholod.

Aleksandar Radovic led Hannover with seven goals to a 20:8 victory over Ludwigsburg. But, the title-holder wasn’t too happy after the injury. One of the best players, Hrvoje Benic, got injured (he broke his finger) and will be out of the team for a while. Because of the injury, Benic can’t join Croatia at the World Cup tournament in Zagreb.

ASC Duisburg easily defeated White Sharks (16:5). Robert Gergelyfi was the best scorer with five goals.

Now, let’s see what happened in the derby of the lower half of the table.

OSC welcomed Neukolln in Potsdam. Before this match, OSC had five, and the visitors from Berlin only two points. Neukolln had managed to beat only OSC before its away game in Potsdam. The hosts seeked for revenge. OSC started excellently. It led 3:0 and 5:1 in the first half. However, Neukolln made a big comeback. The Berlin-based side scored four unanswered goals. Neukolln extended its series after the middle break. The visitors added two goals in the third period and earned a 7:5 advantage. By the end of the game, Neukolln increased the margin to three – 9:6.
