The league leader, Spandau 04, showed no mercy to Ludwigsburg. The Berliners’ defense didn’t shine in the first half, but the attack was up to the task. At the middle break, it stood 11:5. Spandau added 11 goals in the second half, conceding two, for a 22:7 victory. Captain Dmitri Kholod found the net six times.

ASC Duisburg beat Esslingen. ASC is still without one of the best scorers, injured Djordje Tanaskovic, and the key to success was a good defensive play. But, the visitors needed some time to find their rhythm. At the beginning of the second quarter, Esslingen led 3:1. However, ASC took control and produced a 12:0 series for a huge 13:3 advantage (30th minute). In the remaining time, both sides scored a goal apiece.

OSC Potsdam started bravely in the match with Waspo 98 Hannover. The hosts led in the opening minutes (1:0, 2:1, 3:2). After the hosts’ third goal, Waspo netted four in a row and went to 6:3. Potsdam managed to cut the deficit (5:6), but Waspo, led by Hrvoje Benic and captain Aleksandar Radovic built a 9:5 lead early in the third quarter and never looked back.

The narrowest margin in this round was five goals. White Sharks Hannover defeated Neukolln, which kept up with White Sharks as much as possible. Neukolln trailed 6:8 at the finish of the third period. Still, White Sharks didn’t let surprise and recorded a comfortable 12:7 victory.
