On the meetup during the European swimming championship in Glasgow, LEN Water Polo committee decided to change some of the wild card holders for the next edition of the Champions League. HAVK Mladost-Zagreb and VK Crvena Zvezda-Belgrade earned their place since the Dutch Alphen and Serbian VK Partizan lost their place.
As it is decided, the clubs on the list below will need no qualification for next season.
Along with Hungary and Germany, Croatia is the third country to have two clubs on the list. The clubs that made it to the list:

- Mladost Zagreb (CRO)
- Atlètic-Barceloneta (ESP)
- Wasserfreunde Spandau 04 (GER)
- Waspo Hannover (GER)
- Olympiacos (GRC)
- Eger (HUN)
- Szolnok (HUN)
- Crvena Zvezda (SRB)
- Pro Recco (ITA)
- Steaua București (ROU)
- Dynamo Moscow (RUS)
Apart from the decision, LEN committee also decided the club’s groups which will need to play the qualifications for the Champions League. Group A will play in Brasov (Romania), and Group B will meet Strasbourg (France).
