Italian champion Brescia has brought another experienced player.
Canadaβs center-forward Nicolas Constantin Bicari (29) signed a one-year contract, the club announced today.
Bicari has been playing in Europe for a while. He comes to Brescia from Ferencvaros, where he spent the past two seasons. Earlier, he played for Marseille and Jug Dubrovnik.
He replaces Greek Dimitris Nikolaidis, who joined Spandau 04. Brescia will have a pair of excellent center-forwards because Serb Djordje Lazic stays at the club.
Bicari is Bresciaβs fourth reinforcement, after goalkeeper Petar Tesanovic (Jadran Herceg Novi), Boris Vapenski (Dinamo Tbilisi) and Stefano Luongo (Pro Recco).
But, several very good players left the club: goalkeeper Marco Del Lungo (Pro Recco), Angelos Vlachopoulos (Novi Beograd), Giacomo Canella (Pro Recco), Dimitris Nikolaidis (Spandau 04), Maro Jokovic (?). So, the transfer window probably hasnβt been finished for Brescia, yet.
Captain Christian Presciutti could also leave Brescia, but the club will try to extend the contract with the experienced player.
As for European champion Pro Recco, it seems that the Genoese finished all the activities in the transfer market.
Reccoβs latest addition is Zeno Bertoli (Posillipo). Before him, four players arrived: Luka Loncar (Jug AO), Marco Del Lungo (Brescia), Giacomo Canella (Brescia), Gergo Zalanki (Ferencvaros) and coach Sandro Sukno.
Five players departed from Pro Recco: Dusan Mandic (Novi Beograd), Marko Bijac (Olympiacos), Niksa Dobud (Jadran Splitt), Niccolo Figari (Qunito), Stefano Luongo (Brescia).
Telimar Palermo, which will play in the LEN Euro Cup next season, managed to bring American Max Irving, who left Olympiacos. He is the clubβs second reinforcement, after Croat Andrija Basic, who is also coming from Greece. Basic played for Vouliagmeni in the season 2020/21.
