The Romanians halved the deficit a few times in the third quarter (8:10, 9:11, 10:12). Midway through the second period, Savona was three goals ahead of Sabac (5:2). But, the Serbs tightened their defense and started coming back. They leveled at 5:5 in the 19th minute. Still, they didn’t stop. Shortly after, they netted two power-play goals and gained a 7:5 lead. Lorenzo Bruni ended Savona’s goalless phase that lasted for more than eight minutes.
