Olympiacos SFP has officially announced the end of its cooperation with head coach Hrvoje Koljanin. The decision, described by the club as mutual, was made in a positive and respectful environment, with both sides expressing appreciation for their time together.
The change comes at a critical point in the season, as the team finds itself in a difficult position in the Champions League. With the expected qualification for the Final Four hanging in the balance, Olympiacos no longer has its fate in its own hands. The Greek powerhouse now depends on results elsewhere — particularly those of Jadran Split — in order to keep their hopes alive.
Koljanin, who took over the helm in summer 2023, is credited for his dedication, passion, and professionalism. He led the team through intense domestic battles and European campaigns, showing full commitment to every training session and match.
“Olympiacos thanks Hrvoje Koljanin warmly for his contribution and wishes him continued success in his career,” the club wrote, emphasizing that he will always remain a part of the “red-and-white” family.
Olympiacos is now expected to begin the search for a new head coach as the club continues to pursue domestic and European success.
