The Budapest-derby, in which former European champions faced off, was the highlight of the 20th round of the Hungarian League. It was an interesting game, but a favorite won. OSC Budapest defeated Honved 13:10. Krisztian Manhercz was unstoppable. He scored six goals.
Miskolc surprised Eger with a 10:8 victory.

Honved took an excellent start in the derby against OSC. The visiting side led 3:1 in the 5th minute. But, Honved couldn’t find the net in the following minutes, while OSC scored three goals and went to 4:3. Three minutes before the middle break, Kevi leveled at 4:4. Zsombor Ekler gave Honved a 5:4 lead in the 19th minute, but shortly after OSC proved that it wouldn’t let Honved surprise. The home produced a new 3:0 run and entered the final quarter with an 8:5 advantage. OSC, led by Krisztian Manhercz, who scored four goals in the fourth period, maintained a 3-goal advantage until the end (13:10).
Vasas recorded a 13:10 win, as well as OSC. Vasas beat Szentes. Vasas dictated the pace, but Szentes kept up with the Budapest-based team for more than two quarters. Early in the third quarter, Szentes was just a goal behind Vasas (4:5). Then, the hosts scored three goals in two and a half minutes and went to 8:4. Vasas had a 5-goal lead a little but later (10:5, 11:6). Szentes tried to come back and didn’t give up. The visitors cut the deficit to two goals twice (9:11 and 10:12), but didn’t endanger Vasas’ victory.
Szolnok was too strong for Kaposvar. At the middle break, Szolnok led 6:2. Before the final period, it had a 7:2 advantage. Szolnok’s defense weakened in the fourth quarter, but Kaposvar didn’t reduce the gap. The visitors recorded a 12:6 win.
The surprise of the day was Miskolc’s away victory over Eger. The hosts scored the first two goals in the match. But, Miskolc responded with four straight goals and went to 4:2. From that point on, Miskolc was always in front. Before the final quarter, Miskolc had a four goals advantage (9:5). In the remaining four minutes, Eger halved the deficit.
BVSC beat KSI achieving the same result as Vasas and OSC – 13:10. BVSC built a 9:4 advantage by the middle break. The bottom-placed KSI was a better rival in the second half but couldn’t avoid the defeat.
UVSE was better than PVSK in Pecs.
