OSC Budapest defeated Szolnok narrowly in the derby of the 13th round of the Hungarian League. The match was played in Szolnok. The Budapest-based side recorded a 9:8 victory.
Kaposvar caused a big surprise by defeating Vasas 9:8.
Ferencvaros didn’t play this weekend. The game Ferencvaros β Debrecen has been postponed because several players of Ferencvaros got ill (they have tested negative for coronavirus).

Ferencvaros – Debrecen postponed
Honved defeated Szentes. The Budapest-based team secured the win in the middle two quarters. In the third period, Honved led 10:5, and Szentes couldn’t come back after that, despite the fact it fought hard until the end.
OSC and Szolnok met for the second time in eight days. Last week, Szolnok beat OSC (15:11) in the semifinal of the Hungarian Cup. Today, OSC led for most of the time. Szolnok was coming back several times, but it equalized just three times (1:1, 2:2, 3:3). OSC dominated the second period to build a 5:3 lead. The visitors streched the margin to three midway through the third period (7:4). However, Szolnok cut the deficit quickly (6:7). But, OSC’s Erik Csacsovszky closed the third period with an action goal in the 24th minute and doubled the visitors’ advantage. Marton Toth added another action goal early in the fourth period and OSC went to 9:6. Szolnok didn’t give in and came close (8:9) with 03:02 minutes to go. Still, the hosts didn’t go further. There were no goals in the remaining time, and OSC kept a minimal advantage. Marton Levai, who posted 15 saves, was one of the heroes of the OSC’s win.
After winning three points in Szolnok, OSC climbed atop the table. But, OSC has played two matches more than 2nd-placed Ferencvaros.
The game between Vasas and Kaposvar was an even contest from the first whistle until the final buzzer. There were a lot of twists and turns. Vasas led 2:1 after the first period, but Kaposvar entered the second half with a 4:3 advantage. Vasas scored two goals in the third period for 5:4. The series of turns continued after the last break. Kaposvar scored the first two goals in this period and took a 6:5 lead. A minute and 40 seconds before the end Bence Batori put Vasas in front β 8:7. Still, the hosts didn’t save an advantage. Immediately after Batori’s goal, Jozef Berta, the best scorer of the game, leveled at 8:8. The winner was decided just five seconds before the end when Akos Horvath found the net, and Kaposvar shocked Vasas with a 9:8 victory.
Eger, led by Marton Magyar and Nikola Murisic, defeated Miskolc easily.
An encounter between UVSE and PVSK was very exciting. UVSE had an 8:6 advantage before the final quarter. PVSK equalized in the 27th minute for, as it turned out, the final score – 8:8.
