The encounter between GZC Donk and AZC in Gouda turned into a thriller, and a winner was decided only after the penalty shootout. In the end, the visitors from Alphen celebrated a win. The hosts made a better start. They led 3:2 at the first break and doubled an advantage by halftime (5:3). Then, AZC started coming back. The visiting side leveled at 7:7 in the third period. Just 30 seconds before the end, Milos Filipovic, the man of the match, gave AZC a 10:9 lead. However, the hosts leveled in the dying seconds. Their goalkeeper Joran Westerveld went into the attack and he was the one who scored an equalizer β 10:10. The match entered a penalty shootout. AZC scored four goals in the penalty series, conceding two and advancing to the semis.
Even 32 goals were scored in the match between De Zaan and Het Ravijn. The home team controlled the match. It entered the final quarter with a 15:10 advantage. The visitors didnβt make a miracle in the last eight minutes.
Polar Bears bettered ZPB H&L Productions (12:8). The Bears led throughout the match. Their 3:0 run at the beginning of the second half, when they jumped from 5:4 to 8:4, was vital for the outcome.
