The playoffs in the Montenegrin and Croatian Leagues have started.
The 16th round of the Serbian league has been played this weekend.

Primorac – Cattaro 15:6 (5:1, 2:3,4:2, 4:0)

Primorac, which entered the playoffs from 1st place in the league, easily defeated Cattaro in the first match of the quarterfinals. Primorac, coached by Sandro Sukno, took an early 4:0 lead. Cattaro reduced the gap to three (4:7, 5:8, 6:9), but Primorac finished the match with a 6:0 series for a convincing 15:6 victory.
Jadran, the current champion, made the first step towards the final by beating Budva. Jadran rushed to a 4:0 lead. Budva, finally, found the net in the 11th minute. But, after the visitors’ first goal, Jadran responded with a new 4:0 series and went 8:1 up in the 17th minute. The hosts kept the 7-goal distance until the end. Konstantin Averka led Jadran with four goals.
The second matches will be played on Wednesday (Cattaro-Primorac) and Thursday (Budva – Jadran).

Radnicki – Crvena Zvezda postponed to April 14
The water polo week in Serbia started on Wednesday, with an encounter between Sabac and Crvena Zvezda. Sabac, the home team in this match, managed to come back after an early deficit (0:2, 2:3) and build a 2-goal lead (6:4) before the final quarter. The hosts stretched the margin to three 8:5. But, Crvena Zvezda scored the last three goals in the match and secured the point. Sabac’s center-forward Djordje Vucinic was the best scorer with three goals. Gavril Subotic, Ivan Basara, and Marko Radovic netted two goals each for the visiting team.
Favorites – Novi Beograd, Sabac, Partizan, and Vojvodina – recorded comfortable wins in the matches of the 16th round. The derby, Radnicki – Crvena Zvezda, has been postponed because Crvena Zvezda played in Szolnok, in the LEN Euro Cup yesterday.

Three games have been played in the Croatian First League this weekend, but these games belong to the different stages of the championship.
Playoffs, quarterfinals (best-of-two), 1st leg

The playoffs have started, although the regular season hasn’t been finished yet. One game of the regular season that has been postponed is remaining.
The Zagreb-derby opened the playoffs. As expected, Mladost convincingly beat Medvescak 18:5. The second match is on Wednesday.
Regular season, Group I (1st – 6th place)

Solaris – Mornar 14:8 (3:3, 4:2, 4:2, 3:1)
Solaris defeated Mornar 14:8 and secured 5th place in the regular season, which means that it will face Primorje in the quarterfinals. Before the duels against Primorje, Solaris has to play the league match with Jadran Split, but that game won’t affect the standings.
