Roma made a surprise with a victory against Savona 9:7 while Catania and Bogliasco played a draw 11:11 in the derby of the lower part of the table.
Ortigia and Trieste won interesting games (Ortigia against Salerno 3:6, Trieste against Posillipo 12:10). On the other side Brescia (22:4 against De Akker), Pro Recco (15:5 against Anzio) and Telimar (9:16 against Quinto) took an easy win.

Pro Recco got off to a strong start in their match against Anzio, scoring seven goals in the first 12 minutes and effectively deciding the winner of the match early on. Anzio struggled to get on the scoreboard, only managing to score their first goal in the 12th minute of the game. At halftime, the score was 8:1 in favor of Pro Recco, indicating a dominant performance by the hosts. However, Anzio managed to mount a bit of a comeback in the third quarter, winning that period with a score of 2:3. It appeared that Anzio had made some adjustments and was playing better. In the last eight minutes of the match, Pro Recco grew their lead by another 5 goals to finish with a final score of 15:5.
Brescia emerged victorious in an easy game against De Akker with a final score of 22:4. Brescia took a commanding lead of 9:2 in the first half. The hosts then continued to dominate in the second half, scoring an additional 13 goals while only allowing two from De Akker for the final result of 22:4.
Ortigia emerged victorious in a low-scoring against Salerno, with a final score of 3:6. Ortigia took an early lead by scoring two goals, bringing the score to 0:2. In the 14th minute of the game, Salerno managed to score their first goal, but Ortigia’s Rossi quickly responded with another goal, increasing Ortigia’s lead to 1:3 by the end of the first half. At the start of the second half, Salerno once again reduced the difference by scoring another goal, bringing the score to 2:3. However, Ortigia managed to pull away by scoring two goals in a row, increasing their lead to 2:5. In the final period, both teams played without scoring a goal for six minutes and 45 seconds. However, Ortigia maintained their lead and ultimately won the game with a final score of 3:6.
Telimar emerged victorious over Quinto with a final score of 9:16. The match started with Quinto scoring the first goal, taking an early lead of 1:0. However, Telimar quickly retaliated with two goals, taking the score to 1:2. As the first quarter progressed, the hosts managed to score one more goal, but Telimar’s players remained relentless, scoring two more goals to take their lead to 2:4 by the end of the quarter. In the second quarter, Quinto managed to reduce the deficit to just one goal, making the score 3:4. However, Telimar soon went on a scoring spree, making six consecutive goals to take a commanding lead of 3:10. The blue caps held on to their advantage until the end of the game. The final score was 9:16 in Telimar’s favor.
Roma managed to secure a shock victory against Savona with a final score of 9:7. The game began with Roma scoring the first goal in the 7th minute of play. However, Savona managed to respond and equalized the score by the end of the first quarter, making it 1:1. Savona took the lead over Roma with a goal by Durdic, making it 1:2. However, Roma quickly made a comeback and scored a series of three goals, taking the lead with a score of 4:2 by the end of the first half. In the third period, Roma continued to increase their advantage, with a score of 6:3. The last period of the game was high-scoring, but Roma managed to secure their lead and hold off Savona’s efforts to make a comeback. The victory for Roma was unexpected, as Savona was considered the favorite going into the match.
In a thrilling water polo match in the derby lower part of the table, Catania and Bogliasco drew 11:11. The match started with Catania taking a lead of 2:1 in the first quarter. However, Bogliasco fought back and managed to level the scores at 3:3 in the second period. The hosts regained the lead by scoring two goals, making it 5:3 at halftime. The visitors didn’t give up and scored two goals in a row to tie the game at 5:5. Catania managed to regain their advantage and ended the third period with a score of 8:6. Bogliasco made a comeback in the final period by scoring two goals in a row, which tied the game at 8:8. The match became tense, with both teams playing goal for goal until the final whistle, resulting in a draw with a score of 11:11.
In an exciting match, Posillipo started strong with a goal for 0:1. However, Trieste responded intending to tie the score at 1:1 until the end of the first quarter. The visitors regained their lead with three goals in the second period to make it 3:4. Posillipo’s Mattiello scored one goal to give his team a 3:5 advantage. Trieste then went on a 3:0 run to take the lead at 6:5. Posillipo managed to tie the score again at 7:7 by the end of the third period. In the last quarter, Svenson scored a quick goal to give Posillipo a 7:8 lead. However, Trieste answered back with two consecutive goals to make it 9:8. Trieste managed to maintain their lead until the end of the game and won with a final score of 12:10.
