Roma managed to reduce the difference to 6-9 by the end of the first half with Andrews scoring a goal. In the third period, Roma continued their comeback and reduced the difference to 9-10, scoring three goals and conceding just one. Ekipe started the final period strongly, scoring two quick goals to extend their lead to 9-12. However, Roma refused to give up and staged a remarkable comeback, scoring three unanswered goals to level the score at 12-12 in the 31st minute. The final goal of the match came from Galardi, who scored in the 31st minute to give Roma the lead and secure their victory with a final score of 13-12.
