Barceloneta has already secured one Hungarian player this transfer window, Vince Vigvari. Now, they are eyeing another potential addition: Gergely Burian.
The 26-year-old left-hander has built his career in Hungary, playing for Vasas and OSC. He has also represented the Hungarian national team and earned a silver medal at the 2022 European Championships in Split. If signed, Burian would replace Barceloneta's departing left-hander, Luke Pavillard.
Confirmation of Burian's signing is still awaited from both parties.
Should the deal go through, Burian would become Barceloneta's fourth summer acquisition, following Vince Vigvari, Marc Valls, and Biel Gomila.
Vasas, on the other hand, is struggling to retain some of their key players. They have already seen departures of Strahinja Rasovic (to Radnicki), Akos Konarik (to BVSC), and Lorand Zerinvary and Krisztian Bedo, whose next destinations remain unknown.
