A few days ago, we published rumors that Panagiotis Tzortzatos would be joining Olympiacos.
Today, as reported in the Croatian press, we understand this is to fill the void of Marko Bijac's expected transfer to Jadran Split.
Bijac, 33, an Olympic silver medalist from Rio 2016, is one of the best goalkeepers the game has ever seen. His move to Jadran will significantly bolster their prospects for the upcoming season in Croatia, aiming for a third national championship, as well as in the Champions League.
In his club career, Bijac has played for Jug Dubrovnik, Pro Recco, and Olympiacos. He has won two Champions Leagues, four Croatian championships, three regional leagues, three Croatian Cups, three Greek Cups, two Greek championships, two Italian Cups, one Italian championship, and one LEN Super Cup.
Next week, Bijac will compete in the Final Four of the Champions League, where his Olympiacos team will face the three-time consecutive European champions and his former team, Pro Recco.
