The coronavirus pandemic affected the water polo leagues of the ex-Yugoslavian countries. Four games of the Croatian Championship and two matches of the Serbian League, planned for this week, have been postponed. The clubs in Montenegro finished the national cup two weeks ago, and the league hasn’t started yet.

Sabac – Banjica 30:4 (9:1, 10:0, 6:2, 5:1)

Nais – Novi Beograd postponed
Reigning champion Sabac showed no mercy to the youngest team in the Serbian League. Sabac trashed Banjica 30:4, after scoring even 19 goals in the first half of the match. Marko Jankovic and Montenegrin Filip Gardasevic were the best scorers. Each scored six goals.
Crvena Zvezda defeated Zemun quite easily. In the middle of the first period, the score was 2:2. Then Crvena Zvezda scored five goals in a row for a safe 7:2 lead. Gavril Subotic and Milos Vukicevic scored two goals each. Ivan Basara and American Andrew Mavis returned to the team of Crvena Zvezda after they recovered from coronavirus.
An exciting game was played in Novi Sad. Stari Grad had a 10:9 advantage against Vojvodina with 3:20 minutes remaining on the clock. But, the hosts produced a 3:0 series in the final three minutes and celebrated a 12:10 win. Russia’s Ivan Gusarov led Vojvodina with five goals.
The games Nais – Novi Beograd and Radnicki – Partizan have been postponed due to coronavirus cases at Partizan and Nais. Partizan hasn’t played a match since October 3.

Four games of the Croatian League 5th round have been postponed because several players of Mladost, Jug, Jadran, and Mornar tested positive for COVID-19, the Croatian Water Polo Federation announced. Medvescak is in self-isolation because of the same reason.
There was no drama in the two games that were played this weekend.
Galeb opened the match against Zadar with an 8:0 blast. The hosts maintained the 8-goal difference until the end. Srdjan Antonijevic scored six goals.
Solaris had no problems to record a win over KPK Korcula in the rescheduled match of the 3rd round.
