A week after beating Barceloneta (11:8), Sabadell recorded a win in another big derby.
The LEN Euro Cup winner defeated Barcelona 13:11 in the 5th round of the national championship and kept a perfect record (5-0).

Barcelona got off to a good start to the derby in Sabadell. The visitors had a 2-goal lead on a few occasions in the first half (2:0, 4:2, 6:4). However, the game went in the opposite direction after a 3-minute break. Sabadell netted five straight goals and built a 9:6 advantage (23rd minute). Barcelona’s comeback attempts ended in failure. Sabadell, which had a 4-goal lead twice (11:7, 12:8), controlled the game. In the last nine minutes, the difference wasn’t smaller than two goals.
Reigning champion Barceloneta got back on the winning track after the loss to Sabadell. The title holder collected six points within several days. Firstly, Barceloneta defeated Sant Andreu in the postponed game of the 2nd round.
Sant Andreu, the home team, dictated the pace in the first half. The hosts had a 6:4 advantage. Early in the third period, Barceloneta took a 7:6 and 8:7 lead. Sant Andreu leveled on both occasions, but after their 8th goal, Barceloneta produced a 5:0 series,, went to 13:8 and secured the victory.
Barceloneta had no problems in a 12:5 win over Mediterrani.
Catalunya won the first win in the season, defeating Caballa. Catalunya built a 6:2 lead early in the third period and controlled the match. Caballa fought hard, but it just managed to half the deficit.
