Water Polo Australia announced that it will not be renewing its agreement with Sakis Kechagias as the National Women’s Head Coach.
Kechagias has been the coach of Women’s National Team for more than a year and a half now. Aleksandr Osadchuk, High Performance Director, thanked Sakis with a comment:
“I would like to acknowledge and thank Sakis Kechagias for his commitment and passion in leading the Australian Women’s team in a key transition period following the Rio Olympic Games.
“We wish Sakis all the best for the future.”
It’s still unknown who will take the position. Due to its importance, the decision will probably be made soon. Australians announced that the announcement regarding the role will come in near future.
