For the first time in 2022, all matches of a single round of the Spanish men’s League have been played on the same day. None of the games has been postponed.
The 16th round was played this weekend. There were no surprises. The visiting team recorded four wins.

Barceloneta, Barcelona and Sabadell, the teams that represent Spain in the LEN competitions, collected the points with convincing wins.
Barceloneta started slowly against Sant Andreu. The former European champion had a slim 5:4 lead at halftime. But, after the middle break, Barceloneta proved which team the favorite was and recorded a 15:9 victory.
Barcelona, which lost to Terrassa in the 15th round, returned to the winning track with an easy victory over bottom-placed Navarra.
Sabadell blew Rubi away – 20:6.
Terrassa defeated Real Canoe, as expected, but it needed a lot of time to secure the three points. Before the final quarter, Terrassa led 9:8. The visitors from Madrid leveled at 9:9 early in the fourth quarter. The hosts regained a lead in the 29th minute from a penalty shot – Flores netted for 10:9. They finally secured the win 46 seconds before the final buzzer when Chico scored from an extra for the final score – 11:9.
An encounter between Mediterrani and Catalunya was an even contest until the middle of the third period. Four minutes before the last break, Catalunya led 6:5. However, Mediterrani scored seven unanswered goals in the remaining time for a 12:6 victory.
Mataro earned an away victory over Tenerife.
