We regret to inform our audience that our recent video, which critically analyzed the Euro Cup draw conducted by European Aquatics, has been removed from Youtube due to a copyright claim by the organization. As a media outlet dedicated to covering water polo with integrity, it is our duty to provide fair and constructive criticism where necessary. While we understand there may be things they’d prefer to cover up, we see it as our job to uncover them.
This is just the latest in a series of actions aimed at silencing media outlets like ours, following recent pressure and threats we’ve received from LEN (European Aquatics). These attempts to stifle honest reporting only strengthen our resolve.
We firmly believe that media has the right to use materials under the principles of criticism, commentary, and news reporting, as protected by copyright laws, including those within the European Union. Our video was a reflection of these principles, aiming to shed light on important issues within the sport and call for accountability and transparency from its governing bodies.
We are currently assessing the situation and exploring all available options, including the possibility of appealing the takedown. Rest assured, we will continue to bring transparency to the sport and hold those in charge accountable, despite the ongoing attempts to silence us.
Video is still available on our Instagram and Facebook channel. Feel free to share it!
