The top three clubs of the Spanish league – Barceloneta, Barcelona and Sabadell – recorded wins on home soil in the seventh round while visiting teams were successful in the remaining three games.

Barceloneta was too strong for Navarra – 22:4.
After advancing to the LEN Euro Cup semifinals, Barcelona continued its winning streak in the national championship with a victory over Mataro. The first quarter was quite balanced. Barcelona earned a 3:0 lead, but Mataro managed to reduce the gap before the middle break (3:4). The hosts’ defense was superb in the second half. Barcelona opened the second half n the same way as the first – with three unanswered goals for a 7:3 advantage and controlled the match until the end.
Sabadell, which also qualified for the LEN Euro Cup semis, beat Mediterrani in a match that was very similar to the encounter between Barcelona and Mataro. At halftime, Sabadell had a 2-goal advantage. But, Sabadell’s defense was almost flawless in the third and the fourth period, and the hosts recorded a comfortable 11:5 victory.
The most exciting game of the day was played in Madrid where Real hosted Tenerife. There were a lot of twists and turns. Real started very well and rushed to a 3:0 lead. Still, Tenerife responded with three goals and equalized (3:3). In the 21st minute, Tenerife went ahead for the first time (6:5), but Real leveled at 6:6 before the last break, and regained a lead in the middle of the fourth period (7:6). However, Tenerife scored the last two goals in the match for an 8:7 victory.
Terrassa defeated Catalunya 13:9. Terrassa led 6:4 at halftime. The hosts halved the distance shortly after the middle break (5:6), but then came Terrassa’s series of five goals for a 10:5 advantage and that was crucial for the outcome.
Sant Andreu beat Rubi 14:9. Everything was decided in the first half. Sant Andreu built a 5-goal lead in the first two quarters (9:4) and maintained the difference until the end.
