The matches of the 12th round of the Spanish League produced more-or-less expected outcomes.
Favorites Sabadell, Barceloneta, Barcelona, Mataro, and Terrassa, beat their respective rivals with ease.
The most exciting game of the day was an encounter between Tenerife and Mediterrani. Tenerife recorded a narrow 9:8 win and climbed to 6th place.

Mediterrani opened the game against Tenerife quite well. The visitors took a 4:2 lead early in the second quarter. They had a one-goal advantage (5:4) midway through the second period. The last two minutes of the first half were crucial for Tenerife’s victory. The Canarians produced a 3:0 run in 01:57 minutes and headed into the third period with a 7:5 lead. At the beginning of the second half, the hosts added another goal to their series and went to 8:5. Mediterrani cut the deficit to one goal twice (7:8 and 8:9), but Tenerife kept all three points.
The Champions League clubs Barceloneta and Sabadell were too strong for Catalunya and Rubi.
Barcelona started slowly in the match in Madrid. Real Canoe dictated the pace in the first half. The hosts had a 3:1 and 4:2 advantage. Barcelona took control by scoring four straight goals before the middle break and it was 6:4 up at halftime. Real leveled at 6:6, netting two goals in the first two minutes of the second half. But, Barceloneta kept the home side goalless in the remaining 14 minutes, while it scored six goals for a comfortable 12:6 victory.
Terrassa earned an away win over Sant Andreu. The hosts kept up with Terrassa until 4:5. After that, the visitors scored five consecutive goals, and jumped to a safe 10:5 lead.
Mataro showed no mercy to Caballa.
